According to the law the boy will be executed. But the final conclusion should be done after fact triers’ decision. If all of them will be unanimous so the guy will go to electric chair and so be it. Eleven people say “Guilty” dooming the boy for the death and only one of them Henry Fonda thinks him to be innocent. Is he able to prove his opinion and convince eleven angry men in defendant’s guiltiness? Here is the main movie intrigue. Every character has his own temper and nobody wants to yield. Everyone is eager to uphold his point of view. The characters don’t look like each other, they are really different people. One of them – a worker, the second one is watchmaker; the third is seller, the fourth is broker, the fifth is architect, the seventh is shop assistant, the eighth is the teacher, the ninth is an office worker, the tenth is builder, the eleventh is social worker, the twelfth is just a hangman. There is a stuffy room where all they sit with wet shirts, hot heads and nobody wants to waste the time for this silly process. Eleven people give their voices for execution and only one tries to find any pretexts for acquittal. So he even isn’t sure that the boy didn’t kill his father but he feels it in some strange way. And after that the viewer becomes the thirteenth court try. He sees all the details and wants to make his own decision. Thank to this fact the movie watching becomes extremely interesting. We can see how skillfully discussion is. The 8th count try finds the improvement that the boy is innocent. The interesting thing is that there are no names for the people who sway the destiny of a boy. This is the most symbolic thing in the movie. “12 Angry Men” is a 1957 American drama film directed by Sidney Lumet.
